These coasters are a work of art. The center of each coaster is hand painted by a master Madhubani artist. Madhubani is an ancient art form practiced primarily in the state of Bihar in India. Once hand painted, the coasters are passed on to the Moonj grass weavers who finish the art with some intricate weaving to produce these coasters.

Know the material - What is Moonj Grass?

Moonj is a wild grass that grows in abundance in India. It usually grows along shallow ponds and is handpick. There is a highly time-consuming pre-weaving process that is followed before the grass is ready to be coiled and woven.
